Roplan specializes in the design, development, and manufacture of custom mechanical shaft seals for rotating machinery. Founded in 1977 and acquired by IDEX Corporation in 2019, Roplan’s approximately 160 employees contribute to an annual profit of 30 million euros. The company is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden (manufacturing located in Timrå, Sweden) with subsidiaries in China, the UK, and the USA.

Most seal manufacturer’s designs originated 20 to 30 years ago and were simply adapted from designs intended for industrial applications, Roplan designed our seals from the ground-up to meet the specific needs of today’s food and pharmaceutical industry. Roplan’s products have been designed for optimum performance and cleanability while also being simpler, more robust and customizable.

Roplan’s product line includes single, dual, wet and dry seal designs in top, side and bottom entry configurations designed for all applications including mixers, agitators, blenders, homogenizers, emulsifiers and in-line type equipment. From retrofitting of existing equipment to today’s most modern designs, Roplan has a seal that will meet your needs.

Roplan Engineers actively participate in the development of industrial standards including EHEDGE, ASME BPE and 3-A. Our experience and understanding of these regulatory requirements have been built into our products to ensure that we meet the expectations, especially in applications with stringent requirements.

While we pride ourselves on our engineered seals that can meet your company’s needs, we also carry our own catalog of the standard seals you use most. Many of our customers like to get all their mechanical seals from one vendor—both the custom-designed and pre-made catalog seals. In this way, we provide convenience with logistics, customer service, and contracts/pricing.
